Why are my kids receiving spam messages on their Apple Watch?

Why is it that my children, who have only the watch, are still able to get spam messages despite being restricted to only approved contacts? It’s not really helpful that they can’t see them, but the messages are piling up anyway. Is this a fix in the works? Watch is 10.6.1. Same goes for not being able to remove gifs from the text keyboard.

How do I stop direct spam messages to Apple Ultra watch? I get spam messages directly to my Ultra watch. Both it and my 13 Pro Max have the latest software (11.5 and 18.5, respectively) and the watch does not have independent service. While I do get messages to my phone, which mirror on the watch, the watch messages never show up on the phone. How do I stop these messages? I don’t mind the ones to the phone, as I can block and report spam there, but no such option exists for the watch.

Not receiving notification of a text on Apple Watch When my daughter texts me, my apple watch does not notify me of her incoming message. It does for other people's messages, but not hers only. She's not blocked, and if I go to the message app on my watch, her message is there. It's just not notifying me through haptics or sound. How can I resolve this?
