Yes you can screenshot a solid color but that's not a permanent solution.

I'm retired, but still do color and retouching photo work. I use a specific shade of gray to match the gray of my GraphicLite color viewing booth. The default choices are either too dark or too light.

Further proof that no one reads, or only read what they want.

The solution is in this topic more than once, and in at least a few other similar topics. Yet each day, sometimes more than once a day, this topic jump to the top of my subscription list, even through there is no new content.

What changed? People who only want to gripe upvote one of, or both of these replies:

So, they were capable of finding, reading and upvoting replies that do nothing to help, and yet can't find the replies in this same topic that do.

Yes, I am waiting patiently for Apple fix this and am not into creating work arounds as, I expect my update not to alter my screen to white and that the original solid screen colour I had to be the same, and the Colour Ball option to work. And yes, of course I have reported it to Apple, but they have ignored this problem since the release of 15.4 a month ago regardless of many people being affected.

Do you have some personal insight into the fact Apple hasn't already fixed it for the next update?

There is no real solution in jpegs as, Apple need to fix the colour ball choice that has always worked until this update of 15.4 in Sequoia. I personally cannot keep spending my time to sort out things that get messed up in so-called upgrades or updates. I do not want my settings played around with thank you very much. I spend enough time sorting out my Mac to how I want it, and really do not need anyone altering my choices.

FWIW, you never had a choice other than what Apple made available to you. As I already said, no doubt it will be fixed in the next update.

Well, as they have not bothered yet, don't bet your house on it. Apple are famous for saying that they are going to fix something and then do nothing about it. After 22 years of Mac's I kind of know how they roll :)

I clicked on the bell icon to unsubscribe from this thread. But I keep getting notified of responses, junk about kindergarten and cookies that has nothing to do with the subject. I guess a moderator is deleting them, because I don't see them when I come here.

There's also a known forum bug that still needs to be fixed.

When you click on the solid blue bell at the top of a topic, it changes to an outline. That's all you're supposed to have to do in order to stop getting notifications about any changes to that topic.

But, the bug is, you need to refresh the page. If the bell shows up as solid blue, you need to click it again. Do another refresh of the page. Still reappearing as solid? Keep clicking the bell and refreshing until it stays as an outline. Then you will stop getting notifications for that topic.

Apple is not here. I wouldn't know. I make my own wallpapers.

Looking at the user discussions this has been FUBAR since 15.1.

It hasn't. I always use a custom tint and it worked just fine up through 15.3.2. Or whatever the last 15.3.x release was.
