So this started 6 days ago when I opened my camera app and recorded a video. When I played it back I could hear a static noise this never happened before and I’m using an iPhone 14. I update to the lastest version iOS thinking it would help but no. Also this happed when I was on iOS 18.3 then updated recently to iOS 18.4 no difference. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is your iPhone in a case? If so, remove the case and try to duplicate the static. You can try switching the audio method such as switching to mono and stereo if recording in Spatial. Try to determine if it’s a specific mode causing the issue.
Yes the native apple camera makes that noise only the camera/back camera if I record using the front camera there’s no noise on WhatsApp it’s worse cause when you switch from front to back you hear how that static noise starts on Snapchat and instagram it’s fine
im recording in a quiet room but when you playback the video it doesn’t sound like you are in a quiet room
If you want a little peace of mind, you can have Apple Support perform diagnostics. It might turn up something and let you know what to expect. You might also try a few 3rd party video apps.
Are you using the native Apple Camera app or a third party app? Have you tried other apps?
yes it’s in a case, I tried removing the cover do you recommend I remove it for a while cause I removed it and it still made that static/radio noise

No, removing from case will either work or not. This isn’t a time issue.
I tried mono still giving an issue also I removed the case no change
probably a software issue
Only works properly with Snapchat I also run diagnostics everything fine
