Is the blood oxygen sensor on the Apple Watch Ultra 2 fully functional?

I need a replacement Apple Watch with a working blood oxygen sensor. I'm told a renewed Ultra 2 with a model number ending in LL/A the blood oxygen sensor will work and track in the Apple health app. Is this true?

Apple Watch Series 6 Battery Replacement Loosing Blood Oxygen Sensor I went in to get the battery replacement on my Apple Watch Series 6. They told me that they can’t replace the battery but they can replace the whole unit - and that the new unit will not have the blood oxygen feature. Has anyone else faced this issue? I purchased my device in 2021 so it shouldn’t be covered by the blood oxygen sensor restriction. It is extremely unfair that after paying hundred of dollars for the device and then AppleCare+ they’re asking me to sacrifice a feature of my device or deal with the awful battery.

The Blood Oxygen feature is no longer available on units sold by Apple in the United States on or after January 18, 2024, indicated with part numbers ending in LW/A. Learn how to identify your Apple Watch.
