Apple Watch Series 6 Battery Replacement Loosing Blood Oxygen Sensor

I went in to get the battery replacement on my Apple Watch Series 6. They told me that they can’t replace the battery but they can replace the whole unit - and that the new unit will not have the blood oxygen feature.

Has anyone else faced this issue? I purchased my device in 2021 so it shouldn’t be covered by the blood oxygen sensor restriction.

It is extremely unfair that after paying hundred of dollars for the device and then AppleCare+ they’re asking me to sacrifice a feature of my device or deal with the awful battery.

well if you get it replaced then the newer device would be made after 2021

these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going to a physical apple store and asking other customers their advice

or take the new watch and hope apple and that company who won that lawsuit in usa which block the feature there, reach some settlement or apple buying the company or something, and then make an update which reenable the feature in your watch.
