How do I fix a glitched Home Screen that prevents logging in or restarting on a new iPhone?

I’ve bought the iphone 2 hours ago, I switched it on not knowing that it needed an update and by mistake i stopped the update and when it switched it on, the homescreen glitched and didn’t let me log in or either restart neither a forcing restart. What should i do?

Return the phone for a refund.

If you don't want to do that, then you will need a Mac or PC to try to restore the phone.
