We are reviewing your request to remove Activation Lock.

Greetings. In 31.04 i sent request for Remove activation Lock, before few minutes i got second email with message We are reviewing your request to remove Activation Lock. Is normally happening like that? This was my third attempt with request for remove activation Lock. In first two requests I sent them a message where the Store where I bought my device is saying that they don't have any receipts in their database if device was bought more than 5 years ago (bought in 2019 April)

Both of these request were ended in 2 days.

Now I got this receipt and sent them. Is normal when I'm getting two emails from Apple Support about information about "We are reviewing your request to remove Activation Lock".

I already called to Apple Support and talked at least 6hours about explaining my situation with missing receipt.

Thanks.

They are not going to remove the Activation Lock. The proof of purchase you got is not sufficient and has to show that you bought the phone from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller with the Serial/IMEI number on the receipt and the phone must also not be in Lost Mode or Managed. You had already mentioned that it was a work device where the company went bankrupt and there is no access to those companies bank records, which implies that you did not purchase the phone at all.

You are responsible for keeping your purchase receipt. Getting an email from any store saying they do not have those records, but can verify it was sold does not prove anything. If that was the case, any person from your former employer could steal every phone that was locked to an employee and now claim it was theirs. Thankfully, that is not possible as Apple will deny every request where the documentation provided does not prove that person is the one that purchased the phone.

I’d fully expect referencing the store of purchase is insufficient.

I would only expect Activation Lock to be removed by directly presenting the original purchase receipt from Apple or an Apple authorized reseller back to Apple, and with that original receipt showing the serial number, IMEI, or EID.

You seemingly don’t have that original purchase receipt in your possession, which means Activation Lock is not going to be removed.

Greetings and hello and welcome to the communities!

You will need to have the original purchase receipt already in your possession.

If you do not already possess the original purchase receipt, then the request to remoce Activation Lock will be rejected.

An unlock request solely referencing the Apple Store where the purchase was made — without the receipt — will be rejected.

Given three trips through the rejection path and with multiple posts, it should be clear that the current approach and the current (lack of) proof of ownership won’t convince Apple to unlock this.

To summarize this: no original purchase receipt, no Activation Lock unlock.
