My Iphone 16 has been heating up a lot while on charging after the ios 18.4 update.
The battery drain is also happening fast after the update.
Is it common or something concerning?

Both are normal for a few days after a point update. If you’re in a country that now has Apple Intelligence and you enabled it, your iPhone has a lot of background tasks and processes to complete.
When I update I plug my iPhone into a charger at night and let my iPhone work on its task while I’m sleeping and I have less issues during the day.
