iphone 15 Pro Max camera section blocking screen information

The full use of the front screen is fine in many cases. But I have several apps that use the top center of the screen to display information. Some videos have titles or captions up there, while others like some games display scores or other updates in that space. Unfortunately the camera oval blocks all of this information. I can find no place in the system settings to adjust the screen space used so I can have full visibility in these apps, some of which weren't cheap, and which are being made near useless because of this placement. Is there any workaround available, or could one be considered?
