Can a crack on my MacBook Air screen affect performance?
a crack is visible over there so are there any issues that may occur in display?

No, it will not affect performance.
You may want to cut a piece of black electrical tape to put over that crack & extending a bit beyond it to help to minimize the crack from spreading and to help prevent the pieces of glass from falling out.
Unfortunately if Apple fixes it, they will insist on replacing the entire Display Assembly which is very expensive unless you have AppleCare+ where the cost would just be $99US. Technically a skilled non-authorized tech can remove the broken Bezel and install a replacement for much less, but it is not without some risk (even an experienced tech who has performed the operation numerous times can make a mistake since there are a lot of thin fragile easily damaged cables located beneath that Bezel. I've performed this operation numerous times, but I don't know of anyone else who has so it is a rare skill.
