How to prevent photo and video deletion due to outdated iCloud account on iPad?

I received messages from I cloud for my iPad tha my photos and videos will be deleted if my iCloud isn’t up to date. What do I do

You may have received a scam message. Did you click a link in that message or call a phone number that was provided and enter your account information? That may result in your account being compromised. For a specific recommendation it would help to see the message you received. You can post a pic of that message here, but you will want to redact any personal information.
