I work in an apple distinguished school with 1-1 ipads. Students using shared devices can not access screen record or memoji with the new updates. Can anyone support with how to fix this?

Screen Recording and Memoji features are not available on Shared iPads (when using Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager in Shared iPad mode).
This is by design, due to user session limitations and privacy/security policies Apple enforces for multi-user environments.
In a school environment using Shared iPads, features like Screen Recording and Memoji are disabled by design to protect student privacy and because Shared iPads do not support personalized features tied to individual Apple IDs.
To enable Screen Recording and similar features, the school would need to switch from a Shared iPad setup to a 1:1 deployment, where each student is assigned their own iPad and Managed Apple ID.
This setup allows screen recording, Memoji (with limits), and other personalization features.
To make this change, you'd need to adjust your deployment settings in Apple School Manager, assign devices to users individually, and update your MDM (like Jamf or Intune) to push configuration profiles that allow Screen Recording and camera features.
Additionally, for real-time monitoring without recording, you can use the Apple Classroom app, which lets teachers view student screens in a privacy-respecting way.
