How to fix Hulu login issues on tvOS 18.4?

Here’s the fix. Most of you probably have the Disney+ subscription and if you are getting JSON error on Hulu it’s because Disney app needs to login first. Open Disney, login, then go to Hulu and then try logging in again. This probably fixes ESPN issues too. Hope this helps!

I am having the same issue but was on 18.3. Updated to 18.4 and still there. I would assume this is a Hulu app bug.

update: I solved it by selecting a different login address when login screen popped up. Then I cancelled and went back to the original address intended and it worked.

Same issue, tried everything. Switched over to my hotspot and was able to login then jumped back to my normal network.

This worked for me - thanks! I actually had to add a new email address, entered it and chose Continue, then went back and changed the username/email to the original and it finally allowed me to log in without an error.

For reference, I do not believe our internet provider automatically includes VPN and I don’t have an app for it on the TV or Apple TV, so I don’t think our issue was VPN-related.

Hulu has been purchased by Disney. (2023, end of year)

They are integrating Hulu into their other streaming services, such as Disney+ .

It apparently is causing some issues.

I tried all the things in this thread and none worked for me. What finally did was trying to use Login with my TV Provider instead of the plain login option.

I closed all the open apps and was able to login.

choices of videos show up, none will open. The forever spinning wheel of wait appears.

I have been trying for a couple hours. I deleted all previous log-in information, restarted my AppleTV, closed all apps, and deleted and redownloaded Hulu, I keep getting an error about JSON Structure.....whatever and the heck that means.
