Will AirPods Pro 2 work with Apple Watch SE on a family plan without an iPhone?

I only have an SE Watch on the family plan and do not have access to an iPhone. Will Air Pods 2 Pro work?

No, the AIR PODS Pro 2 will not work with my watch on the family plan. I took a trip to the Apple store, and they confirmed it. They will only work with an iPhone or iPad where the software can be installed. They suggested doing away with the family plan and running my watch through someone else's iPhone. Not going to happen! If anybody has a fix, please let me know. I do not have hearing in my right ear, and my left ear hearing goes in and out. I need to use the Air Pods Pro 2 to pass outside sound into my left ear and to hear calls on my watch. The watch is great for texting. Thank you.

Thank you. A family plan allows an apple watch with cellular to make calls and texts without having one's own iPhone.

I have been using my Apple SE watch almost a year now without an iPhone. The watch is strapped on my upper paralyzed arm. I use voice commands to activate the watch. I had an iPhone for many years, but then I had trouble holding and using a phone. I kept dropping the phone, and my fingers on my only hand were not working very well.

It is ok to delete this discussion; I probably will not be around for much longer. My hearing in my one good ear is going fast and my brain is detreating fast.

Thank you for your help.
