I deleted an apple account over a year ago, but I still can't use the Email
The email in question is my regular Gmail account—I use it every day, and it’s fully functional. Over a year ago, I used it to create a new Apple ID. I later deleted that Apple ID and received an email stating that the account would be deleted in 7 days.
Now, a year later, when I try to use this email as my primary Apple ID on my iPhone, I get a message saying, “This email is being used by another Apple ID.” What can I do?
The reason I'm trying to change my Apple ID email is that my current one is linked to my old school. That account has been deactivated, so I want to switch to my regular, active Gmail instead.
