How to default to streaming lossless instead of playing downloaded purchased music

I'm a mid-budget audiophile and the news that Apple has universalized lossless quality across their library was very welcome. It has come to my attention, however, that the thousands of songs I have purchased before streaming became a thing continue to play at the quality at which they were purchased—which I understand. Soooo, I'd like to cut my losses to an extent for the sake of listening to higher quality music that does my audio equipment justice. Is there a way I can just tap into Apple Music's versions of my purchased songs instead of having it play the lower res versions I purchased from them? If not, this seems like a huge oversight that punishes Apple's most loyal customers. Or should I migrate back over to a Tidal subscription? Please advise.

See Use multiple libraries in Music on Mac - Apple Support. Assuming you already have an Apple Musc subscription create a new empty library and enable Sync Library to connect to your library for streaming at the best quality available. See also About lossless audio in Apple Music - Apple Support.
