iCloud Text Message Forwarding Between Two Different Phone Numbers

Hi, all!

I am posting to ask about text message forwarding. I have my work phone with a different SIM card, and my personal phone with another. I am wanting to setup text message forwarding so that my work text go through to my personal.

However, I do not want to confuse my clients (or put my personal number out there) when responding to text. Will this still show through my work phone number or will it show the message with my personal.

For example, a client sends me a text message to my work phone (let's say 281 area code) my personal phone (504 area code) receives that message. I respond to it on my 504 area code phone. Will it show as my contact or from the new number? When my clients have the 281 area code saved.

I am still a little foggy with iCloud and Apple ID integration so any insight would be helpful! Thanks.
