What type of monitors or connections are needed to daisy chain 6 monitors with a Mac Studio with Thunderbolt 5?

My boss just purchased a Mac Studio (with 2 Thunderbolt 5 ports) and has tasked me with finding monitors. He wants to daisychain 6 monitors, which will mostly be used for financial data. Do all monitors need to be Thunderbolt compatible or just a USB-C port? What would be the best set-up to get 6 monitors connected to one Mac Studio?

You need to first determine if the Model of Studio that was purchased can actually run 6 monitors.

Only the Mac Studio with the M3 Ultra CPU can sustain more than 5 displays.

The Mac Studio with the M4 Max can only run up to 5 displays. With one of the 5 having to be connected over HDMI.

With that said, the displays will need to be Thunderbolt capable with a downstream Thunderbolt port for daisy chaining. Or a dock with again compatible downstream thunderbolt ports.

Also, you won't be able to daisy chain all 6 monitors from a single port. You will need to spread them out at least 2 ports. 3 on each port I believe is the limit. Though I may wrong on this.
