iPhone 16e freezes when using rear camera in slow motion

Since I have updated my iPhone 16e to IOS 18.4 I am having issues with my camera app.

When I select Slow Motion my camera freezes.

This only seems to happen when I use the back camera. The front facing camera does not freeze in Slow Motion.

Basically I cannot use the slow motion feature any more.

I tried to use it as is but when I hit the record button it will stop right away with recording anything.

Another issue I am facing is that the camera will sometimes just display a black screen in the default Photo setting.

I believe it’s fairly easy to reproduce it as long as you use 240 fps. The view finder simply freezes.

Mode: SLO-MO

Format: HD 240

Rear camera

Plenty of internal storage: 100+GB available (256GB model)

Recording internally

iOS 18.4.1

The problem goes away if I switch to 120 fps.
