CarPlay solution for iPhone using USB-C adapter

So after the latest Apple update and also my car firmware update my phone stopped communicating with CarPlay.

this is until I purchased USB to C adapter for some 90pence and plugged my lightning to C cable in it.

CarPlay works again!! Beat 90 pence I spent recently

iPhone13 USB connection to Toyota Camry 2018 A couple years ago, Toyota updated its infotainment software to allow CarPlay, but it did not work over bluetooth and required a lightning to USB (2.0?) adapter. iPhone 15 CarPlay working now? Following up on previous posts about this: I was about to order the iPhone 15 Pro when I read all the posts about it not working with Apple Car Play. I won't buy this phone unless it does so I contacted Apple who say the issue is now fixed. They say 'this has been resolved and there are no more present reports or issues' and that 'it was resolved in iOS 17.3'. They recommend this adaptor for those of us with a USB A connecter in the car (I drive a Honda 2018 CRV, but I assume this would work in other makes too). USB-C to USB Adapter - Apple (AU) In anybody else still having problems with the updated iOS?
