did any one at at all did the new up date ? 18.4.1
my car apple car play is messed up since I did the up date
was working fine b4 the up date
iPhone 16 pro
I did everything re set the network settings, turn the phone off
every thing you can think of

This could be helpful for some or all. This problem was absolutely driving me crazy. My wife had the iPhone 16 (I have 16 Pro) and she also did the update to 18.4.1, but her phone connected immediately with zero problems, so we went back and forth to see what the difference could be. We spent two hours in the car trying everything while searching both English and Japanese recommended solutions without success. One of the only difference that we eventually found was Apple Intelligence. She had not elected to use Apple Intelligence, while I had it on. Unfortunately, I tried to just turn it off, but that still didn't work. With frustration, I completely reset my iPhone back to factory settings, and when I had the option to turn on Apple Intelligence, I did not turn it on. After the phone finished resetting, and started restoring my iCloud backup, I checked and the IOS was automatically installed to 18.4.1, but I went out to the car, and it immediately connected to CarPlay. IT SEEMS THAT APPLE INTELLIGENCE IS THE PROBLEM AND YOU MUST RESET YOUR PHONE TO COMPLETELY REMOVE APPLE INTELLIGENCE FROM YOUR PHONE. Note: it is possible that there is some other unforeseen problem that just resetting the phone to factory fixed, but again, Apple Intelligence was the only difference between mine and my wife's phone. Hope this helps out!
I am also having this issue. Wiresless Carplay is randomly disconnecting. This started with 18.4, and continues with 18.4.1
Iphone 14 pro. Jeep Cherokee - Using wireless dongle. Never had this issue until the 18.4 and 18.4.1 updates.
In order to reconnect, I need to unplug the wireless adapter, wait a bit, and plug it back in. At that point it reconnects.
I have been using similar wireless adapaters for years, also going back to an iPhone 11.
This is a new issue since the new software.
My carplay also not working since I upgrade to IOS 18, to use my Iphone for listening music on Spotify I need to connect with usb C cable.
My car is VW T-Cross and most popular here in Brazil. After some searches I found many users talking about how Apple disclaimer here responsability about this BUG.
I contacted VW to know if it was a bug of car system or not, and they said me it was a bug of Apple system.

I also lost my CarPlay connection to my Honda Accord with Iphone13 after upgrading to 18.4.1. Contacted Apple support and had me delete my iPhone device and reinstall. No help at all. Now it doesn't even recognize CarPlay as an option.

My Carplay also not working after 18.4.1 update. Hyundai i30 2017 model. Usually have to connect with USB cable not Bluetooth. Now it’s not recognising my phone when connected. I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro. My partner who hasn’t done the update yet can connect hers and it’s working fine. Not happy Apple! Sort it out. The irony of this update was that it was to fix issues that some people were having. Seems to have just made other people’s CarPlay not work instead.
Me Too! I use a 14plus and have a 2019 Renault Kadjar. Have spent approx 4 hours on the phone to customer support (5 different people) and tried all manner of things, one being "forget this vehicle" on the car play app. now it won't even see my car! so no chance of it working. I really don't know what to do next - continue with customer support I guess. This is obviously not an isolated problem, come on Apple sort it out.
Check the owners manual or contact your dealer. Not sure about that specific model, but many head units now support either wired or wireless, not both.
My KIA EV3 worked before 18.4.1 with wireless CarPlay. Now no longer :-( or buggy. Cannot depend on it any longer, this update broke it.

Same thing with me but update 18.5. I have done everything to reset both car and phone. 2023 Nissan. My friends phone worked fine with no issues - same phone but he had a different version of IOS.
Same issue, rebooted phone, deleted connection and reinstalled- will only detect BMW iDrive bypasses CarPlay and CarPlay never manages to send pairing code. Phone shows connection but reality is different!!! Frustrating 13ProMax with a 2020 BMW x3
Only Bluetooth and music remain connected after 18.4.1. CarPlay has stopped working with both my 16 pro and office 13 on my Mustang Mach E GT. No amount of forgetting the device helps. Car displays message that CarPlay is disabled on the iPhone
I drive a Kia EV3. Apple Carplay worked fine until I installed IOS update 18.4.1 on my iPhone 15 Pro. Now I can't connect in any way. I keep getting a connection error and the attempt to connect is aborted

It is the same for me on a wired connection on a Kia rio of 3 years old on which CarPlay was working just fine until the update. I managed to get an error message that popped up for half a second when the disconnection occurred. You can see it on the screen capture link with that message. The message is in French and can be read as
“ Airplay not available CarPlay is already using airplay”

After updating to iOS 18.4.1, CarPlay has stopped working properly. Previously, it connected smoothly to my iPhone 16 Pro Max via Bluetooth pairing. However, since the update, CarPlay now connects through a local Wi-Fi network, which disables my mobile data connection. As a result, apps like Waze stop working while driving.
I’ve tried deleting the device from my car and forgetting it on my iPhone, then reconnecting, but that didn’t help. Restarting the iPhone also didn’t resolve the issue
My Apple CarPlay keeps disconnect since update to ISO 18.5. All blue tooth and Wifi reset can't help.
My iPhone is 16 pro and Carplay device is Pioneer DMH-A5450BT.
After the last update 18.4.1 my carplay stopped working in my Jeep Compass. It worked well before! Only my phone calls and music is active, but I cannot open the carplay dashboard. The Iphone 15 connects over bluetooth with my car and thats about it. I did reset my carconnect service of my jeep, reset the network settings of my phone, folowed several advices from Apple support, nothing works, yes Android does work smoothly!! Very frustrating.
