AirPods volume control not working on Windows laptop

Hi, so recently, I'm having issues with changing the volume on my windows laptop while using my airpods. The volume stays the same and doesn't go up or down. This doesn't happen when I don't use my airpods on my laptop, or on my iphone. I have tried to reset it, disconnect it, forget it in my settings, etc. none have worked. I am pretty sure that this isn't window's problem, as other earphones work just fine. Are there any fixes to this? Thank you.
