How do I get into discovery mode?
I have an iPhone 13 with the latest updates and I would like to get into discovery mode so I can link my iPhone to my stereo receiver

You rather need to put your accessory into discovery mode which would make it pair able with your iPhone.
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Bluetooth. Make sure that is turned on and stay on that screen. See if your accessory shows up, and if so, tap on that to connect it.
If not, your accessory is not in pairing mode and you need to either check the instructions or contact the manufacturer to ask how to make it discover able.
