How do I get my Bluetooth in discovery mode and eliminate the devices that show up but are not mine?

Hello,

I have an iPhone 14 Plus. I am trying to pair my J BL speaker to my iPhone. The devices that keep coming up on my iPhone are not my devices. Help me plz!

First, in order to assist you with your JBL speaker pairing, it would help if you can provide us with the exact model number for these speakers. Typically the owner's manual should provide you with the details on how to place the speaker into pairing mode. This needs to be done first so that your iPhone can "see" it for pairing.


As far as the other devices, you can't get rid of them. Bluetooth service, on your phone, uses Discovery Mode to display all nearby Bluetooth devices. This is basically how Bluetooth works. None of these devices are actually paired to your phone as you would have to actively participate in that pairing process.
