How do I fix unresponsive and glitching lines on my MacBook Air screen?

My MacBook screen is glitching and unresponsive. I’ve tried hard restarting it, resetting the SMC and resetting the NVRAM to no luck. Any idea what the problem could be?

This can only be fixed at an authorized service center. They will determine if the inverter cable or board is messed up and can quote you a cost. Have them verify for you if an external display of a certain type works. That may be your best chance to access your data, backup anything that wasn't backed up, and then decide if you want to be dependent on an external display or put up the cost of repairing it.
