The supplied I cloud account was unable to unlock this volume

I have forgot my admin user login password for my MacBook, I have went through steps via utilities , terminal etc and tried a password reset , but at the end it’s showing me a message” the supplied I cloud account was unable to unlock this volume “ the MacBook is connected to the internet & I have done a apple i d password reset so I know this is correct , I also got the 6 digit verification code via my phone , please help

Hi, yeah I tried to reset it through the log in get all away through the steps , get a fire vault prompt , then a message saying the supplied I cloud account was unable to unlock this volume ?? What does that even mean

Resetting the Forgotten Mac Password:


A. Where to Reset it:

Reset it using the login screen. You'd go through your Apple ID to perform this. Find out more here: If you Forgot your Mac Login Password - Apple Support. Make sure that caps lock is not enabled when typing it.
