How can I use Magic Keyboard for Minecraft gaming on iPad Pro M4?

I recently received my 13” iPad Pro with the M4 chip, as well as the Magic Keyboard you can buy separate for it. I went to go play Minecraft on my iPad using the keyboard and it wouldn’t work. The only thing that I was able to do was look around with the trackpad. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue? Or what has worked for you guys?
