I want to lock my chosen apps on the home screen so I can find them quickly in the position I want them in
eg LinkedIn - bottom left, weather - top right.
My main apps often lose their position or are frequently relegated to the next pages...
I have 3 iPads and all the apps are in different places - this causes frustration and time cost.
I want control of my home page. Thanks

You can't lock apps to a spot on the Home Screen (unless you use an enterprise system). You can put apps in the Dock and they will always stay there. You don't have to use the default Dock selection.
New apps will be added to the first vacant spot on a home page, except the first one. You can leave blanks there.
Also, changing the orientation changes the layout.
One thing you could do is create a folder of your most frequently used apps and put that on the first page.

Do you find this is happening all the time or is it when you download new apps? If you are downloading any new apps at anytime them apps will move to a page automatically and if that last page is full then it will move an app to the next page.
