Pressure Sensitivity: iPad 10th gen, Apple Pencil 3rd Gen

I bought the Apple Pencil 1st Gen (plus the adapter) to use for my iPad 10th Gen specifically for the pressure sensitivity feature. I was able to connect/pair it successfully, but I found that the pressure sensitivity does not work.

I saw on a post that apparently the pressure sensitivity feature does not work for the iPad 10th gen. Is this true?

No pressure sensitivity on Apple Pencil I have a iPad Pro 12.9in 3rd gen tablet and I bought a Apple Pencil off eBay, it was started as new and came in the original packaging. When I went to use the pen on procreate I quickly found out that there’s no pressure sensitivity. I tried everything to make it work and I mean everything. I even tried using other drawing apps and look no pressure sensitively whatsoever! I don’t know what to do. Both devices are pretty new. Do I have a faulty pencil?

The apple pencil’s (gen 2) pressure sensitivity doesn’t work nor does the double tap. The apple pencil’s pressure sensitivity doesn’t work nor does the double tap. In the note app, it just creates a line without variance on width. Tried it out on Clip Studio and Sketchbook with the same result. In the MediBang app, it doesn’t provide a line. Had the pencil charged to 100%, same issue. iPad Pro 12.9 (2022) reseted, same issue. What can one do to fix this issue? If fixable.

Your first generation Apple Pencil does support pressure sensitivity - however, the availability of this feature is entirely dependent upon the App that you are using with the Pencil. Not all Apps support pressure input.

Can I ask what apps does support it? It doesn't work with Procreate or the built in notes app.
