Got my iphone 12 back from my son because he can't remember his password and now the phone is "iphone locked to owner". He hasn't used it for a while and the phone number linked to it is not available and the payment details are out of date. Is there anyway we can unlock this? Have proof that the phone is mine as the item number is the same as on my sky account.

Proof would be the original invoice from Apple or their authorized retailer that includes the serial number. With that, you can try contacting Apple Support.
Where did you purchase the iPhone? Did you purchase it from Apple or an Apple Authorized Retailer? Does the receipt have your name and IMEI number?
