How to resolve unauthorized iTunes purchase from a deleted account?

So, i suddenly had a notification from my bank account about a big sum of money for a student. And it is from iTunes which I deleted the moment i got my iphone (sorry apple). I do not have any other family members with iphone so no one could use my account to purchase anything from my account.

The article everyone sends here does not apply in my situation, I also never got any email about the “purchase”.

Anyways, if you have the same issue, I downloaded an app “apple support” and in there if you scroll to the bottom there is an option for a chat (if i remember correctly). The lovely support person told me that there is no subscription on my account (which is not surprising), so she gave me a phone number to call the security center. Unfortunately they do not work today, so I’ll have to call them tomorrow.

I guess I will update you as things progress..

It sounds like your card has been compromised that is linked to your bank account. This happens quite frequently when the physical card is used on a terminal where a scammer has installed a skimmer device to read your card details. Many times these are at gas stations or ATM's where the scammer has overnight access with little interruption, but of course can happen on any terminal.

I would recommend contacting your bank immediately to investigate the charge and it may need to be disputed. It is clear that the purchase was not made by Apple on your Apple Account, since that has been verified. There is not a problem with the security on your device, in this case it is simply your card information that has been compromised and it would have not made any difference if you had an iPhone or not.
