How can I fix audio issues on call with iPhone 12?

As you seem to know already, this is/was an issue with some iPhone 12 models due to a failing component on the receiver module. Affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021.

You can get service free of charge for this issue, for up to three years from the initial date of purchase. The reasoning behind this is, (and I’m just guessing,) if the component doesn’t fail in three years, then there’s nothing wrong with it, and if it fails in say, 8 years, it’s just doing what electronics tend to do, and not a manufacturing issue.

Are you looking to mute the calls? Activating the speaks would allow you to hear it.
