Music/iTunes stuck artist, can’t delete

OK this is a weird one and it’s doing my head in. Firstly this is only a problem on my iPhone and iPad. My Mac & MacBook are fine. An artist appears in music on the iPhone and iPad with 1 album. I can’t view the tracks of the album, if I try and select it nothing happens, I can’t play it either. I have the option to delete from library, but if I select that it doesn’t. I have the option to download the album but that doesn’t work - I thought if I download and then try and delete it I’d be able to but no.

I’ve tried switching off sync library in settings and rebooting, which obviously removes it but when I turn synching back on it comes back. Anyone experienced something similar and got a fix?

Well I've actually sorted it. The album WAS showing on my iMac, but not under the artist's name, it was at the bottom of the list of albums with artist 'Unknown'.

Right clicked and deleted it there and it's disappeared from my iPad and iPhone. Posting just FYI in case anyone else having problems.
