Does access to Apple Service Toolkit 2 guarantee genuine parts and full Apple-certified repairs?

I recently came across an independent repair shop that claimed to have access to Apple services. They showed me an email dated 2022 from "m*****@apple.com," which appeared to confirm their access to Apple Service Toolkit 2.

I’m trying to understand: does having access to Apple Service Toolkit 2 mean that the repair shop also has unlimited access to genuine Apple parts, or is their access limited in some way? Are they authorized to perform full Apple-certified repairs?

I’d appreciate any clarifications from those familiar with how Apple’s repair programs work.

What did the repair shop tell you? It’s simple, they are either and Apple Authorized service Provider or they aren’t. Possession of confidential software does not make the store an AASP. Does the store appear in the list of service providers for the location?

You can also contact Apple and confirm their status as an AASP.

Apple does have an independent repair providers program for out-of-warranty repairs, and that seems close to what you are reporting:

As for what guarantees or certifications might be offered, those are entirely up to the particular repair shop.
