photos no longer found in favourites

im using iphone 15, and the photos which i marked as favourites are not staying in the favourites section recently. initially they will be shown under favourites, but after few days im unable to find them.

Favourites album Hi guys. I have been favouriting ♥️ occasional photos for a long time, and they have always immediately showed up in the favourites album (iPhone 12 mini, iOS 16.1.2). About three months ago this stopped happening. All photos favourited after this point have not been appearing in the favourites album, but the older ones are still there. Any ideas? I do not recall altering any settings. Is this a glitch? Many thanks in advance for your guidance!!

How to I put the new photos in the Photos app at the top of my iPhone? In every other app, all new photos show up at the top of my screen, except in Photos. I've looked in all the places to edit Photos and I can't figure out where to change the scroll direction. Anyone know if it's possible?” Is there a solution yet? Also, when using the Search feature in Photos, newest photos are at the top, while in Albums, Recents, etc new photos are at the bottom. Is there some way to change this to be consistent?

Are the pictures un-checked as favorites, or lost, or just not appearing in the Favorites (or Favourites?) view?

If you are "unable to find them," then you should look in Recently Deleted and in Hidden. The views can be sorted by capture date or by added date. This is the Library view:

Try both sorting methods to see if it helps find pictures. Sorting works in albums and in the Favorites view.

Are you using iCloud Photos to sync your Library? What iOS are you using?
