Airpods overheating and stopping to work on Metro

I was on the metro and a heard a ringing noise, then my right airpod started overheating (very hot) I had to take it out because of the pain. Then it continued to heat up more, I put it in the case and I could still feel the heat from the case. Later the right airpod completely stopped working and wouldn’t charge.

Cool Down the AirPods:

For a few hours, perform the following...

  • Unplug: any cables
  • Place it Atop: Laptop Cooler
  • Keep it in: an open space
  • Keep it Out of: direct sunlight

Don't Leave these In Standalone for a Long Time.

The batteries can corrode, and it can be due to getting a hot or cold temperature. Leaving them in standalone, this can occur.

Where to Go from here:

For safety concerns, I recommend keeping them out of your ears and then recycling them. It is time for new ones.
