iPhone 16 Pro Qrafter QR code scanner gets vqr.vc

iPhone 16 Pro QR code scanner works as expected for Instagram profile but blocks access to Facebook profile and to a secure website with message: "The connection for this site is not secure vqr.vs sent an invalid response". All three targets are https:\\ with no security certificate problems when accessed through computer browser. Changing to different QR Scanner app makes no difference, gets same error about vqr.vs. Changing camera zoom doesn't make a difference. All the QR scans work fine on iPhone 13 Pro running same app/version and same iOS update. Is something on the iPhone 16 Pro preventing access to targets?

See this by Google: facebook qr code issues ssl. According to Google: "Facebook QR code issues related to SSL often stem from incorrect URL usage or problems with the Facebook app itself. Ensuring the QR code points to the correct Facebook URL, including "https://", and that the Facebook app is up-to-date are crucial steps"

Qrafter app is up to date and same version works on iPhone 13 Pro.

iPhone 16 Pro also got same error with a different QR scanner app.

Good point about not an Apple error... it's coming from Edge. Same error when using Chrome.

I'm thinking it's a security setting on the iPhone 16 Pro preventing the link from opening, even though they are https:\\ links?

What did the support team at Qrafter say? That message is not an Apple warning. Have you updated the app? Have you tried deleting the app and downloading again?

Yet the target FB page opens fine with same software versions on iPhone 13 Pro. And the other website is my own. where I am positive the SSL certificate is up-to-date, and that also opens on the iPhone 13 Pro running, the same iOS and QR scanner software versions and browsers.

Same error in Safari browser. I noticed Safari browser actually uses Google search, so the error (shown in image in original post) is same as in Chrome and also Edge.
