I’ve had this happen when charging cords get older & more so with generic brand cords but this is an Apple lightening cord & it’s quite new. I believe it only happens when I’m using the phone while charging.

The best course of action would be to buy a QI charging pad from eBay for less than 10 bucks and forget about the lightning socket
The port pins can get damaged and give the same disconnects.
thanks for your response! Are you referring to the pens in the charging port of my phone? Like it has nothing to do with the lightning cord it’s got to do with the port in my phone? Seeing as I figure that’s what you’re talking about. Is there a way to fix it DIY???
