Since updating to Sequoia 15.4.1 last week, I receive a "filter failed" error message each time I try to print. I've been troubleshooting this based on earlier community posts, but nothing has worked.

If you want to know what filter is failing, you can enable cups debugging in Terminal:
cupsctl --debug-logging
print a job, and look in the error_log at /var/log/cups. That will indicate which filter failed and maybe offer a reason why - older drivers (bad CPU type), a privileges issue?

Hi, I did finally solve my problem by looking for the updated drivers, as jblanchard1 proposes below. I had done this before without success, but for some reason, it worked. Try that?
hi again, thanks for asking. It's an HP LaserJet Pro (MFP M125 nw). I've looked around online, and I've seen other cases where an OS update has led to this issue. I've never had a connectivity problem before. Thanks!
I have a similar problem with my Mac mini M1 connecting to my HP Color LaserJet MFP M283fdw. I tried all of the HP troubleshooting to no avail and finally reset the printer and tried to reinstall it. This failed and a pop up window appeared

I can't even get that far since my Mac mini can't connect to my printer, however my windows 11 laptop can connect to it so I think there must be a bug in Sequoia 15.5.
