CarPlay won't stay connected to my Toyota Tacoma 2024

My iPhone model is 14 Pro Max, and I'm using iOS 18.4.1. I always keep my phone updated to the latest iOS version.

The CarPlay connection to my 2024 Toyota Tacoma will randomly and frequently 'break' - i.e. the connection will drop off and I'll need to reconnect. When I do reconnect, it will work for a while, sometimes for a day or more and sometimes for a shorter period of time, but always it will eventually drop again.

I've gone through the steps that I've seen recommended here and elsewhere - uninstalled my phone from the vehicle, 'forgot' the vehicle from my phone, restarted the phone and then gone through the whole connection process again from scratch. The connection issue persists.

I've also read here that I should check with Toyota to see if a firmware update is available. Nothing about that is mentioned in my owners manual - in fact the word 'firmware' isn't even present in the owners manual, and I may go to the local dealer to ask them about it. However when I did ask about this a couple of months ago when I was at the dealer, they didn't say anything about that and they suggested that the problem was with the Apple software (of course it is not their vehicle software causing this).

It's a nuisance and if this is something that is simply going to continue until Apple finally solves it in a future software release, then I guess that is what I'll need to wait for. But if there is something I can do to diagnose this and fix it now, that would sure be great.
