Why does my iphone 16e not type the letter n at times

I just upgraded to the iPhone 16E on May 1. When I am texting a lot of the times when I type a word with the letter n in it it will leave a blank space instead of n. Example if I type one it types o e. I had the same problem with my iPhone 11 skipping the n's. Is there a way to fix. this?

Thanks

iPhone 16e, iOS 18

I do 't k ow what you are talki g about? Just kidding. Yes you are hitting the space bar. It could be a digitizer problem on the screen when experienced on one device, but clearly with 2 different devices and the same problem, it would be the space bar that is being hit with your thumb. You can try turning the device sideways to test. The keys are obviously in the same place, but the angle of your thumb will be slightly different.

That means your hitting the space key instead of the letter n, since it right beneath it.

Or perhaps you may need to try & use a Stylus

to direct finger effort correctly on exact key(s)?

While as hands can be exposed to climate or other stresses..

Mine, a bit of everything. With an off-line lifestyle, as I've no

Apple Pencil, etc. My iPhones spend most of the days 'hands

-off' to nearby Mac, & wired keyboard. Or in protective case.

I use stylus, and of a 'more disposable' design. Such as the

"Stylet retractable stylus." Clicks back into its metal case; &

has a soft-ish tip. Plus lifetime warranty; if you save papers!

So I bought second one, same kind; on sale for the Receipt.

Outclassed and less affluent; an 'Apple Pencil' is beyond my

basic needs & fingers won't do! This is a second-phase idea

outside the first suggestion; of simply a missed-touch key..!

Hello again!

ShirleyfromDover

Thought you may need to read the larger name from

Stylus original packaging, to get closer match to item.

"ReTrak" was on reverse side from where I looked.

Retractable Stylus Pen | Active Stylus Pen | Blue

(This is the second stylus, bought for a receipt.)

Chain stores in your area may have these; got from

Kroger/FredMeyer in Anchorage. But no longer are

available from their stores, maybe due to shipping?

Many things cost much more in Alaska now due to

the cross-border truck freight; adds to cost here..

Most of this state relies on Air or Ocean freight due

to perishable foods; smaller items may go via USPS.

.Remote off-grid areas truly are remote. No roads

in winter, places like Bethel are hubs. Villages out

there use frozen rivers for 6 months, as highways!

Take care, good luck & happy trails!💮🌤❄️☔️🌲

Costs have never been cheaper than in 1970s here.

Prices were really high in 1989, Exxon Valdez spill.

Fuel at the pumps in southcentral AK went above

$5.50 per gallon for low-grade unleaded. Among

other items; and the local economy was flat. Many

persons left AK in caravans, on the road to L48 US.

Various people met here in 1960 AK, from elsewhere

in the US armed services. Early on, some had been

veterans from WW2, Korean conflict; Vietnam, Iraq

Afghani; & stationed, for times, & places between.

Neighbors, friends, extended families; with shared times.

My family arrived by road through Canada in August 1960.

My dad had been here twice before; in 1950s didn't like

flying back then; & took ocean ships back from WW2

in Europe. Most 'civil' Airplanes, nearly all prop-driven.

Dad didn't like those planes, whose wings flapped!

He didn't drive to AK, first trip; & he had loan of vehicles

belonging to friends who had arrived some years before.

And liked Alaska. Oil had just been discovered on west

Kenai Peninsula; but certainly not why we came. Dad had

an extensive background in natural world; most aspects.

Eventually hired to teach community college; then UAA

expanded to incorporate those smaller colleges. Kenai

Peninsula Community College, became Kenai Campus..

Once they finally built something, near Soldotna. Hadn't

classrooms nor dedicated buildings. Had arranged to use

public school classrooms, and some community libraries

'as schools' after-hours. He taught for free; drove many

miles between sites, on his dime; while working summers

full time as foreman at USFS Kenai Lake Workcenter..

Part of the story, ahead of those moments..

His friends moved to sparsely populated area in the east

side of the Kenai. They had invited my dad and mom, to

consider a move; my brother and sister both older, plus

mom, stayed behind in an inter-mountain western state.

The one by a big salt lake..

Anyway those are other barely told tales. Both parents

separated, and remarried; mom to an Army-AirCorps

Captain, Pearl Harbor survivor; battle promoted there.

While dad, also WW2 vet, had fought across Europe

and recounted stories to me, he had not told others.

Wounded in Belgium's 'battle bulge' forest, & helped

French resistance; in hospital, recovered; in France.

..As I was younger, under 5 on our arrival to AK.

The small town I grew up near, is close to where my

family first moved; when we got here. Housing, very

scarce; at first we rented some cabin-like structures.

Anyway to shorten this tale a few dozen years.

I should just pause; if I had more time & health,

the book I could write.. might be worth a read!

But maybe not. Had some 50 college credits,

worked full time wholesale/retail gold jewelry.

While going to college in Anchorage + Kenai.

Have skills; trades/crafts, skilled labor, etc.

Always quick learner, was good enough to

be professional level with little effort. I like

to learn; like my dad, later, he liked to teach.

Sorry to get 'so boring' here! I don't keep a

diary; have no interest in social media, etc.

And mostly am offline; working on my house

as I need to do even more; with few funds!!

Your story isn't boring at all. We were stationed up there 1973-1974. We use to have bears come into the military housing area to go through the dumpsters. The MP's would drive through warning everyone that the bears were out. It was very crowded when we were stationed there. They were building the pipeline and people were coming up to work for the great pay. They said people were paying $100 a night for a spot to lay their sleeping bag because there were no rooms available. When we got transferred back to the lower 48 we were going to drive down, but torrential rains washed out the highway going down through Canada so we had to ship out car dow to Ft. Lewis, Washington and once it arrive drive to our next duty stati0n. I have a friend whose granddaughters just moved up there and love it. I enjoyed our time there..
