iPhone 16 Pro Max taking lousy close-up pictures.
I sell jewelry as a side hustle and use the iPhone close-up camera for virtually all of the images for my listings. I upgraded from a Pro Max 12 to the Pro Max 16. The images from my 16 are just awful. They are blurry most of the time, and my camera cannot seem to get it together and simply focus on an item. Even the AF lock is worthless as the camera will continue to keep trying to correct things even after it has been activated. It's like trying to look through drunk glasses. It goes clear, blurry, clear, blurry, etc. trying to focus. Also, on my 12 (which took drool-worthy close-up shots), if I pressed AF Lock, the background would become a bit blurry, thereby high-lighting and locking in and focusing on the the item. It's just horrible and I'm incredibly disappointed. My Pro Max 12 had pretty much replaced my 35mm DSLR and yesterday I had to drag it out to take pictures.
