Why does DND appear on even though it's turned off in Settings?
Why is DND on? In Settings it shows that it is off.

I agree with Jeff and first try toggling it off and on to see if that changes the Focus Status. There are two ways to do so. One way is to ask Siri to "Turn Do Not Disturb Focus off/on." The second way is to swipe down from the top right to open the Control Center, then tap the Focus.
If that doesn't work, perform a Forced Restart to solve this software issue. This procedure can be a bit tricky, so it can take a few tries and be sure to perform it quickly and ignore the Power Off slider that appears midway.
- Press and quickly release the Volume Up Button
- Press and quickly release the Volume Down Button
- Press and hold the Side Button until you see the Apple Logo
