The option to turn off DND from the home screen or via settings is not there. I have no schedules set up, and no other devices are linked. It was working fine until this morning. I updated to 18.6.1 yesterday.
Same thing happened to me even after updating to 18.6.2 and then I solved it (I think).
Swipe from upper right corner down on your main screen.
Open focus.
Four tabs appear
Do Not Disturb
Sleep
Reduce Interruptions
Driving
If it shows
Do Not Disturb ON
Just tap it and it changes to
Do Not Disturb "silence all notifications"
That should mean it's off now.
So with all those tabs you just tap once to turn on or off.
I guess they "simplified" things and we're supposed to intuit the new rules?

Try and force restart the iPhone to see if the issues persist
Had the same issue. DND was on outside of set times.
I asked Siri to turn off DND. Gone 🤷♀️
Worth a try at iOS 18.6.2, since it was released August 20.
It isn’t misleading at all. The device worked until 07:00 this morning - this is when the DND was meant to turn off, but didn’t. The update was done late last night and DND is set to turn on at 23:00. I don’ believe the problem and the timing of the update is a pure coincidence - but it could be. The fact remains that control of the DND function ceased after the update was implemented.
the SAME exact thing is happening to me with the Apple Watch!! I can shut off DND on the phone but it will not shut off on the watch. I have restarted my phone and watch multiple times, changed all of the settings etc. It's driving me insane...any update?

You updated to iOS 18.6.1 yesterday, and the device worked fine until this morning. So the issue didn’t start with the update itself, which makes the title ‘since 18.6.1 update’ misleading.
