iPhone 8 Plus operating videos and opening bank apps on it's own

My Iphone 8+ had some strange activity a few hours ago. I was watching youtube and wanted to pause the viedo suddenly the app went crazy and started to rewind the video, fast forward the video and even changed the video untill it (the phone) closed the app and started to go through different folders of apps in the meny. It went so far to where it began to search after apps, and it (the strange activity on the phone) found my bank. It opened the bank app and naturally it (the bank-application) requested a password. I didn't type in my password. I turned off my phone immediately, but then it turned on again, so I turned it off and then left it to "rest" a few minutes later I switched it on and it's like nothing happend. So my question is should I be concerned, and what can I do to know whats going on?

Sounds like your Digitizer may be failing. It is built into the Screen and will recognize "ghost touches" that appear to take over your phone when it is failing. That is common if the screen is cracked, but can also happens when the screen appears fine. If it continues, then take it to Apple for diagnostics. A screen replacement will solve the problem of a failing digitizer. As always, any repair needs to be done by Apple or Authorized Apple Service Provider.
