The volume and mute button on my Apple TV remote are no longer working. I’ve tried restarting the remote with the home and volume down button. I’ve also tried going to settings and changing the volume control. Neither of these things have helped at all. Is there anything else I can do or do I need to replace it with a new one? TIA

if it was me then I would disable HDMI cec on the appletv box and on your tv
pull the plug on both devices and let them start up and reenable HDMI-cec on both, it fix that issue for many
You can also use the Apple TV Remote App as a workaround (or test). Use the Apple TV remote from control center or download the Apple TV Remote app (from Apple, available on iOS App Store). This can control the volume and other functions while you troubleshoot.
