How do I retrieve missing slow motion videos in Image Capture?

Recently Image capture does not show slowmo videos shot from my iphone. I use it to watch back my golf swing. It used to work but sometime in the last couple of updates things changed. I couldn't tell you exactly when because I didn't use it over the winter. The last several times I have shot slowmo videos they have not shown up in Image capture and I have to find another way to DL the videos.

Anyone have any ideas why it doesn't work anymore? Is it something they changed in an update?

I don't do Slo-mo much, but I just tried it with my iPhone 16, iOS 18.4.1 and macOS 15.4.1, and the file synced in all its slow glory through iCloud. Image Capture also shows the Slow-mo file, and it downloaded to my Downloads folder just fine.

So, it doesn't seem to be a problem with the OS or with Image Capture. Try restarting the Mac, and also try restarting in Safe mode

You should also try a forced restart of your phone:

This is different from a simple Power Off. I had to continue holding the button down past the "slide to power off" message, and then I released the button only after  the Apple Logo appeared indicating a re-start.
