Make my phone stop requiring a password to open it when I'm driving

When apple maps says something, it turns on my screen and leaves it on. I want my screen off, so I push the right hand button and it goes off. Sometimes I want to see the map when Maps is not saying anything, so tap the screen and hold the phone up so it can see me. Occasionally, it tells me I have to use my password to unlock my phone. Example: I'm going 70 on the interstate. I want to see what's coming up in the next few miles so I can be prepared. I can't because my phone demands my password. So I ask Siri, show me the route for the next ten miles. Remember, this is Apple Maps. Siri says to me "I'm sorry I didn't get that." Or "do you want me to check with Chat GPT" Or "Here's what I found on the web for 'show me the route for the next few miles.' Check it out." My phone knows I'm going 70. It knows I can't put in a password at 70mph. It's too stupid to follow a simple voice command. How do I turn this behavior off?
