Muting a groupchat with focus

I would like to mute my work groupchat automatically with my focus status when I arrive at home. I already have the apps that we use muted but we also have a text chain with work issues that I would like to mute. Is there any way to mute this chat automatically or do I have to turn it on and off daily?

muted groupchat still shows banners imessage I have a muted group chat but notifications still appear on my Lock Screen. I used to hide alerts on iMessage and no badges would appear on the lock screen at all. Now when I get a message from a group chat that I hid alerts on it still appears on the lock screen. Is there any way to disable this, or is it a glitch? I have no clue why if a group chat is muted it would still put notifications on the Lock Screen.

Mute group texts. I need to mute group text discussions but the only option seems to be to select each person separately. I want individuals to reach me but not the group text which includes some of the people. How do I add a filter to mute the group only, that still allows the individual members of the group to reach me?

Under your personal focus, you can choose the people that you want to mute notifications from. If you mute all of your colleagues, you should get no notification of this group chat.

If you’re using iMessage for this group chat you can create a contact group and apply your focus to that
