Why is there a purple head icon on my Apple Watch Series 10 screen?

Where the red notification dot is, there is now also a purple head and shoulders. It's always there and doesn't seem to have anything to do with notifications. When I touch it, it doesn't do anything. The red dot still appears when I have a notification and then goes away and the purple head and shoulders comes back. Any thoughts? Thanks.
